In seventh grade, I was doodling my name and initials all over my binder in Spanish class out of boredom, like any respectable 14-year-old girl. Bubble letters, dots on the end of each line- you get it. My subpar calligraphy skills caught the eye of an eighth grade boy sitting next to me, who proceeded to scoff, point and ask me what I was writing.

"They're my initials. It's, like, my monogram, ya know?"

He couldn't contain his laughter. Were my bubble letters that uneven? He turned to the boy next to him and said:

"Dude, this girl's initials are MILF!"

I had no idea what a MILF was in seventh grade.

I shoved my initial-covered-papers into my backpack, sweating it out until the bell rang.

Urban Dictionary came to the rescue and clued me in on the not-so-PG meaning of the initials my parents had so lovingly graced me with. My cheeks flushed in humiliation that my name insinuated anything crass.

But my initial shock would soon turn into acceptance, and by 22, pride.

I want to go ahead and make it clear that I am not a mother! However, I will always be Macie LeeAnne Flynn and when the time comes, I'll (hopefully) a MILF.

Beauty is a passion of mine that don't plan to let fade with age, from M.L.F. to MILF. This blog serves as an outlet for that passion, and outlines the rhyme and reasons behind my 22-year-old beauty secrets..

Aside from the aesthetic benefits, I love that beauty is a healthy way to boost your mood, self-esteem and confidence levels all at once. I want to show readers of my blog my favorite ways that beauty makes me feel good.
