"...the unseen, unforgettable, ultimate accessory." -Coco Chanel
I never leave the house without a spritz of perfume. Whether it be that I'm on my way to class or a nice dinner, I can't think of a reason why I wouldn't want to smell like jasmine, vanilla and bergamot, no matter where I am or what I might be doing!

There are three major reasons why we wear perfume:
1) Science! Pheromones are scent-triggered hormones that stimulate sexual desire. A woman wearing perfume causes sexual desire in the men in her company, therefore driving a boost in said woman's self-esteem due to her feelings of being attractive and adorned. In simpler terms? Wearing perfume boosts your self-esteem, especially around the opposite sex, making you happier. Perfume = happiness.
2) Memories. There is an extremely strong connection between smells and memory. For example, if I smell Tory Burch's original scent, I'm thrown back to my freshman year in college, a time clouded with memories of Aristocrat vodka and endless pizza at 2AM. That pretty bottle sits very untouched on my desk these days.

3) Individuality. It's not easy to show personality through a completely different style of clothing every day, but perfume solves that problem. If one day I want to smell like citrus and florals, I can wear a spritz of Coco Mademoiselle. If I'm channeling my inner tomboy the next day, I can whip out my bottle of Tom Ford's Violet Blond. No costume change necessary.
If I'm leaving the house in a hurry with no time to freshen up, perfume is the easiest quick-fix! As long as I'm at least smelling like flowers, here's hoping I am looking like one too.
I have so many opinions and thoughts on fragrance-- this is only the beginning. Stay tuned for more!
