"If you don't have wrinkles, you haven't laughed enough." -Phyllis Diller

While the quote at the top of the page might seem lighthearted and sweet, I have every intention on laughing a lot while still avoiding wrinkles.
After doing some research over the weekend about "expression lines" and "sleep wrinkles," I realized that there is an easy fix to half the problem when it comes to future fine lines on my face: my preferred sleep position.
Much to my dismay, sleeping on my stomach, the position I sleep in every night, is the one-stop-shop for getting wrinkles by my eyes. Otherwise known as "crow's feet," these smile lines can be made much worse by pressing my face into my pink silk pillowcase all night long.
Here's how to position yourself at night so that you can keep laughing your MILF-y life away without making those lines even deeper at night.

Sleeping on your stomach is the enemy. Have you ever woken up from a deep sleep and noticed sleep marks or lines on your face? Sad news: this is a preview of the permanent lines that are headed your way if you continue to sleep on your tummy. There is a solution to this, I promise. Keep reading.

Snoozing on your side is the OK option. It has been proven that there are some random health benefits to sleeping on your side, but there is still enough pressure applied to the side of your face for the crow's feet to deepen. Plus, most side-sleepers prefer one side to the other, which means one eye will have a deeper line than the other over the course of time.

Catching Z's on your back is the ticket to wrinkle-free eyes. You should avoid all skin contact with your pillow by sleeping belly-up. An added bonus to this? You will avoid any acne-causing bacteria and oils by keeping your skin away from your pillowcase, and having your head in this direction facilitates drainage which prevents eye puff!
If you really can't ditch your comfy stomach sleeping position, definitely invest in a silk pillowcase like this one, as silk doesn't absorb as much moisture as cotton.
Sweet (wrinkle-free) Dreams!
Xx,
M.L.F.
